Theft

This artwork was stolen from The Comfy Cow on Frankfort Avenue on Sunday, February 5.  If you have any knowledge of its whereabouts or who took it, please call the Louisville Metro Police Department at 574-7111; or contact me or the management of The Comfy Cow.

The stolen artwork was an original pen and ink drawing; the framed size is approximately 11 x 14 (image size 7 x 10 inches).

  1. Do you have a photo of the suspects that you can post?

  2. Hi John,
I'm afraid I don't. They were teenage boys, both a little heavy-set, with dark hair. I'm guessing they were 15 or 16. The video of them was clear, and anyone who knew them would recognize them from it, but I don't have video or stills at my disposal to put on my blog.

  3. An update: Almost exactly a year after the drawing was stolen, I recovered it. A lady across the river in Indiana said she found it in an apartment behind hers while she was helping clean it out, and one of the occupants told her she could have it. She later Googled my name, found the drawing listed as stolen, and contacted the owners of The Comfy Cow, who in turn contacted me. My thanks to all involved in its recovery!
